Ah, Paris. Who doesn’t sigh at the name with longing in their eyes. It’s the city that has been dubbed the love capital of the world. A city where wanderluster’s flock to and where couples are stirred right down to their inner souls. From the moment you arrive, you are whisked away to a place of wonder, of awe and inspiration. Even the architecture makes you feel as though you have been transported to the 1700′s, in the hopes of seeing Marie Antoinette roaming the grounds. You know, before things got a little “awkward” for her. So with all that Paris had to offer, you could only imagine the surprise of delight that formed on our faces when our one and only best Bossman ever, Nick Angell, told us that we were going to the city of enchantments for the day as a Christmas Party of sorts!

Our magical day started off with a boat tour along the river Seine where herald trumpets announced our bon voyage. Ok not really, but that’s what it felt like. Next, was a feast fit for kings at a quaint yet ‘typiquement fran├žais’ (typically French) restaurant which was situated right across the Stravinsky Fountain near the Pompidou Centre. The food was of course, divine.

After all the feasting (as if we were storing up for winter) came to a jovial end, we walked, albeit quite slowly, towards The Notre Dame and The Louvre.

As the sun set for the day and our picture taking had come to a halt, we ended the best day in 2014 with some boutique shopping of fine artisan foods and a salute to the day with a drink… or two…

Hope you enjoy the following photos, where you will no doubt feel like you have experienced this adventure along with us.
